What is Liquid Telecom’s Net Worth?

Due to how large and successful Liquid Telecom is having been established in western, eastern, central, and southern parts of Africa, it isn’t hard to believe that Liquid Telecom has quite a considerable net worth.

The company has established a footprint on the African continent that spans from Cape to Cairo. They have laid well over 100,000km of fibre optic cable in most parts of Africa connecting it to the rest of the world.

As of January 2022, Liquid Telecom’s net worth was rumoured to be at least 640 million U.S. dollars which is a little over half a billion dollars.

To be where it is currently at, Liquid Telecom actually went through a difficult but necessary phase of investments and acquisitions in 2013.

Liquid Telecom acquired zimbabwe’s largest Internet service provider Zimbabwe Online (ZOL), and in 2013 it purchased Altech’s assets in East Africa and also managed to acquire Rwandatel, a telecommunications operator in Rwanda.

All these factors have managed to give Liquid Telecom the present-day valuation. Back in 2019,  an 8% stake of Liquid Telecom was sold to the CDC group for 180 million U.S. dollars.
